Patterned Curtains in My Home + Similar Sources
A fresh and often unexpected way to add color and pattern to a room is with curtain panels. You can easily change patterned curtains out for the season or move them from room to room to give a space a new look. Even though it may feel like a risk to go with a bolder pattern and color palette, I have no regrets! A striking pattern and color scheme in a room can bring a room to life, and it certainly won’t be boring!
I’ve had the crewel embroidered patterned panels above for years, in my old office and now my current office. They are even more beautiful in person! I got them HERE almost ten years ago, but I love them now as much as I did the day I laid eyes on them. They are sadly out of stock in this exact style, but I’ve rounded up a few similar options for you in this post.
The key to success with a bold pattern is to let it stand out! Use it as a jumping off point for the rest of the color palette in the room and be sure the other patterns are smaller in scale and complimentary so they don’t overpower each other or compete for attention.
If you aren’t sure about a bold pattern in your space, try something more subtle but still more daring than a solid. You can’t go wrong with a simple stripe, soft plaid or floral! Or try a bold pattern but with a more subtle color palette. I have other patterned curtains in my home or that I sometimes switch out from time to time to update a room’s style or to reflect my seasonal whims.
